Guided Tours At Primrose Hill Manor (Spring 2024)

Primrose Hill Manor’s heritage tour isn’t just any tour. It’s a visit to one of the most historically significant private residences in the Kawartha Lakes, against the backdrop mother nature’s beautiful scenery.

Operating as a Doctor’s house for the first 40 years of its life, this 1880 heritage-protected landmark home is steeped rich in history and filled to the brim with grand sweeping arches, gorgeous mouldings and beautifully preserved woodwork. It is THE place to visit any season.

“We had an extraodinary tour. Thank you Paulette, for being such a welcoming and gracious hostess.”

ABOUT THE TOUR

Your small group visit is a fully guided tour with Paulette, the homeowner of the Manor. You’ll explore the main parts of the home, the servants quarters in the attic, the old cistern in the basement, and everything in-between.

Don’t forget to bring your slippers for comfort and your camera for photo opportunities - photography is encouraged! Our goal is to make this a comfortable and memorable experience for all.

Should the weather be in your favour, you’re welcome to walk the grounds of the property after the tour ends. There are five acres of gardens to explore that are equally gorgeous in spring season. Proper winter footwear is a must.
